2 Tim. 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

Dear Pastors and Prayer Partners,

Greetings to you all in the Almighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. By the grace of God and through your sincere prayers, we are all in a good health and serving the Lord here amongst the Hindus, Buddhists & Muslims people in India.

Family News: Children are now backed to school after a month summer vacation. Hannah returned to Grace Academy in Sikkim for teaching there and that has been helping her to grow more mature in the Lord.

Grace is now in class 10 (10th Grade) and she is also elected school Captain. Reng and baby Joanna are so proud of their elder sister who is well respected by both the teachers and all the students at Immanuel International Academy. My wife and I are so thankful to God for these wonderful children and their lives has been a great blessing in our ministries. Grace is also started teaching children Sunday school class of 2 to 5 years children at our church.

Ministry News: During the month of May and June, lots of activities took place here in our humble ministries. The two batches of deputation training for the church planters were conducted and it was attended by 17 church planters in total: 5 in first batch and 12 in second batched. Children VBS was well attended by 65 – 72 children. Most of them were from Hindu families. As a result of that now we are having 5 children coming regularly to our Sunday school classes and Sunday services.

The HBS students had returned from their summer ministries and we also received six more new students in our seminary. Day by day the challenges are more and more but the Lord is faithful unto His people for His works.

Acts 20:20 “And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house.”

The graduates are now in their respective ministries of preaching the Gospel and planting new churches in the areas where there are no churches. A women conference was held during 29th May to 2nd June with 39 ladies from our sister churches attended.

Praise with vote of thanks and Prayer Requests:

·         We praise the Lord for His enabling grace to get many things done during the last three months.
·     We praise the Lord for His provisions and good health upon us. Therefore, lot of works has been accomplished, they were done by God’s grace and it is marvelous in our eyes.

·         We express our heartfelt thanks to all of you who are sincerely and fervently praying for our humble ministries and supporting us financially as well. We thank you for your continue supports which enable us to do many things for the Lord and His glory, Phil.4:10.

·        There are many challenges in ministries and one of them for this year is to meet the daily needs of the HBS students. This year we are having 13 students and most of them are unable to pay fees. We need at least 15 bags of rice of 25 kilogram each in a month plus vegetables, oil, sugar, meat, etc.

·       The HBS expenditure is $1000 per month. The students’ contribution is $400 per month. So we are still in need of $600 per month for the above mentioned foods and utilities.

·
In place of brother Stanley Helm, I got two men: Mr. Johnson Phaumai and Mr. Gyltsen Tamang who are closely mentoring the boys as wardens. We need $400 per month for these two teachers. Phil.4:17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

·         We are hoping to conduct a Deputation Training every month with 4 to 6 candidates. Please pray that the Lord will enable us to do these things for His own glory.

·         Please pray for my visa interview on 14 & 15 July at Kolkata.

Rev. Jim Starr says:

"If you could have the opportunity to invest in a relatively low-cost missionary project that could help make it possible for millions of people to hear the Gospel for the first time, would you be interested? I’m sure you would.

Suppose you are told that this missionary project is located right in the heart of the 10/40 Window, and that the exact location of this project is without a doubt THE MOST STRATEGIC LOCATION for an evangelistic missionary thrust in all the world. Would you be interested? I’m sure you would. That is exactly what Vision2020Asia’s Project Gateway is all about!

The small city of Siliguri, India, is located at “the gateway to unreached Asia.” Siliguri is located in the tea-famous district of Darjeeling, in the state of West Bengal.

Why is this such a strategic gateway?

To the north is the small Buddhist-dominated state of Sikkim, in the Himalayas, and just beyond that is Tibet and Western China. To the south is Bangladesh, with millions of Muslims who have never heard the Gospel. To the West is Northern India—the most unreached part of India, the world’s largest democracy with 1.2 billion souls. To the northwest is Nepal, for many years closed to missionaries from outside. To the northeast is Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom almost totally without the Gospel. And to the east are countries such as Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

But, just to the immediate east of Siliguri are located the states of India with the highest concentration of Christians. In India’s northeastern states such as Manipur, Nagaland, and Mizoram are hundreds of Bible-college-trained church planters and missionaries who can be mobilized to take the Gospel to the unreached people groups of the region. There is, without doubt, no more strategic location for missionary work in the entire world!

So, this is your opportunity!

Vision2020Asia is undertaking “Project Gateway,” also referred to as “Project Siliguri,” to help make it possible to take the Gospel to people groups who have never had the opportunity to hear.

To reach its goals, Vision2020Asia must mobilize and train hundreds, eventually thousands, of national evangelists and church planters.

Setting up a base of operation in the targeted region is key to the success of this operation. Why not build the nerve center and training center for this evangelistic thrust right in the heart of the region? That is exactly what Vision2020Asia is seeking to do.

The land has already been purchased. We are ready to move forward as God provides the funds to build. Will you help us?

Will you mobilize your church to help fund this important project? Only $315,000, about the cost of a single-family home in many parts of the USA, is needed to construct the four-story building that is needed in Siliguri.

The building will be used for:

• Baptist School of Evangelism Training Center
• Language and Culture Classes
• Library
• Mission and School Offices

Some of the most needy areas of Asia will feel the impact of “Project Gateway.” You can impact the neediest mission fields of the world with a generous gift to “Project Gateway.”

We at Vision2020Asia are undertaking a giant leap of faith. This is not a small project, and we know that its success lies totally in the hands of God. But you are the hands of God. This project will succeed if you and people like you will ask God what He wants you to do about the hundreds of millions—actually about four billion—in Asia who need to be reached with the Gospel.

All support and project gifts for the ministry of Vision2020Asia are handled by Independent Gospel Missions. All gifts to “Project Gateway” are tax-deductible. Gifts should be made payable to “Independent Gospel Missions.” Attach a designation note that says “Vision2020Asia PROJECT GATEWAY.”

I want to encourage churches to take a series of offerings over a period of several weeks. Perhaps you might consider “Project Gateway” for your Thanksgiving Offering this year. Large gifts are needed, but God will use and multiply small gifts as well.

Most of all, I want to ask you to pray for the unreached peoples of Asia and pray for the success of “Project Gateway.”

The eternal destiny of millions of souls may be resting on the success or failure of this project. To my knowledge, no mission organization has ever launched an evangelistic effort of this magnitude in a region where Satan has had his way for so many centuries".
